Inland areas of Kinki District have been finding it difficult to secure the final waste treatment site as the region grew more urbanized. This project is aimed to preserve the environment of Kinki District, by using waste from the 6 prefectures of the district to carry out the reclamation of land which will be needed for the further development of the ports.
